The closing ceremony of the National Dialogue is on going now at Palais Des Congrès Yaoundé. This is a résumé of how the last plenary session of Cameroon's National Dialogue went on:
-Participants started off by singing the National Anthem
-General report of the National Dialogue was read in English
-Presidents of all the 8 commissions read their recommendations.
-Thanks to ENEO, electricity ceased for 2 minutes and came back, during the reading of recommendations from the Decentralisation Commission
-Federalism was rejected; effective Decentralisation for the SW and NW, with a "special status" was adopted instead
-Ex-Amba Boys asked for forgiveness once again and demand for all recommendations to be adopted.
-Extreme violence of Amba Boys was blamed on excessive use of drugs.
More updates coming through.
