Kagawa Mundi, a talent of the 21st century football
He is being touted as the next big thing to come out of PWD of Bamenda and could soon become the next big pay check for the ABAKWA BOYS as some of the biggest names in Cameroon football vie for his signature. If reports are to be believed, Cotonsports of Garoua's new boss Sango Emmanuel Ndumbe Bosso got enamoured with the talented youngster during his stay at Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda and is keen to bring him to Garoua this summer.
Kagawa Mundi is one of the most sought after youngsters in Cameroon football at the moment.
With three goals to his name already this season, Mundi has very unique characteristics. He is very strong on either wing and has pace to burn, but at the same time, he is not limited to running along the touchline and crossing but he can also dribble through the middle and take deeper positions in midfield with equal ease.
Having made his first team debut for the Abakwa boys in early 2014, the youngster has already become a regular starter for the side. However, his precocious talent has attracted attentions from the major Cameroonian outfits and it may be hard for PWD of Bamenda to keep him for long.
Kagawa Mundi has not yet made any appearances for the junior national team of Cameroon despite his visible talent. However, if Mundi continues his progress at the same clip, other players on the national team may have to struggle for minutes with the national team as well.
It is hard to compare him to anyone, but his versatility on the pitch is similar to none other than Lionel Messi’s.
