Between Friday, November 2nd, opening date, and Saturday, December 1st for the closing plenary, parliamentarians passed eight bills submitted for consideration by the government.

The amount of 4850 billion 500 million FCFA proposed by the Executive as National Budget for 2019 has been validated by the tenants of the legislative power.

"I would like to express my full satisfaction to my fellow Members for the work done. Beyond the constraints imposed on you by the deadlines, you did, with all efficiency and a lot of competence, examine, and even to the smallest details, the draft budget which was submitted to you.

This is the proof, that you have really taken care of the law in the new Financial Regime of the State. As a reminder, in order to shed more light on each other, the law on the new Financial Regime of the State was passed on July 11, 2018.

This means that after you, dear Colleagues, the ball is now in the Government's camp. The members of the Government, at the head of which the Prime Minister, I also extend my satisfaction with their availability throughout the session" rejoiced Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, president of the National Assembly during his closing speech.

This November 2018 budgetary session is also memorable because it was marked on November 6th by the swearing in of the Head of State Paul Biya, elected on October 7th, 2018 for a new septennat.
