Maurice Kamto urges Cameroonians to take to the streets and protest. This is what he said:

A message posted on the MRC website, by Maurice Kamto's Communications Officer, calls for Cameroonians at home and abroad to take to the streets, the day before the swearing in of the re-elected President, Paul Biya, wear T-Shirts and clothing with "No To Hold-Up" written on them, and march, in protest.

It is worthy to remember that during the day of the proclamation of Elections Results, major towns in the Nation were highly militarised to curb any disturbance that may have ensued, and there was none.

This call by Maurice Kamto and his team will surely trigger heavy militarisation again.

This is what was posted on the website:

The members of the Cameroonian diaspora must make the authorities of their host countries aware of the situation.

N.B.: From well-informed sources, the regime plans to use militia to perpetrate violence on people, break and burn goods on peaceful protest days against electoral hold-up of October 7th, 2018 and to blame us for these criminal acts. We therefore call on Cameroonians to be more vigilant and not give in to provocation.
