Founder of the Cameroon People's Party, Politician, social activist and lawyer; Edith Kahbang Walla, was yesterday, Sunday, October 21st, subdued to what she calls "illegal house arrest" by the Military.
This happened hours after she posted a tweet urging politicians, especially those in Yaoundé, to go out and stage a peaceful street protest, for President Paul Biya to leave power. See her tweet below:
According to her posts on Twitter, over 30 armed military men surrounded her house in Douala, yesterday for 8 hours.
In a video that ensued, Kah Walla opens a conversation with the military men on why they are surrounding her premises and they say they came to protect her.
She converses with them on a very light mode, as they exchange banter and laughter. They are non violent towards her. They eventually leave at 7pm in the evening, after spending 8 hours in front of her house. See her tweet, and video below:
