3 corpses discovered behind petrol station in Tombel

At least three corpses have been discovered behind the lone filling station in Tombel, Kupe-Muanenguba Division of the South West Region, as clashes between separatists and security forces fail to subside.

The corpses, two men and a woman were spotted early Sunday, October 21, reports say.
“A man on his way to the farm discovered the corpses behind the petrol station and rushed to town and alerted the population,” an eye witness at the scene told beta tinz.

The circumstances under which the persons were killed and dumped behind the petrol station remain unclear.

Sources identified one of the corpses to be that of a security guard working at a money transfer agency in Tombel. His corpse is said to have been buried on Monday.

Sunday’s discovery came three days after the carcasses of three persons were also discovered in the village of Buba, in Tombel Sub-division. The population of the area continues to live in shock following the recent deevelopments.

Tombel Sub-division and Kupe-Muanenguba Division in general have known deadly days since the current socio-political crisis erupted in the North West and South West Regions.
