Secretary General of the Presidency gets attacked in his home!

The Cameroonian presidency's general secretary, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, was attacked in Yaoundé on Friday night, according to reports.

Two of the assailants were killed and three were arrested, according to reports from the local press. A government source told AFP that the attackers were "mere bandits".

For this reason, "the government will not communicate on the issue," added the official on condition of anonymity. No information was provided on the conditions with which Mr. Ngoh Ngoh was met at his home during the time of the robbery.

Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh is a key figure in the government put in place by President Paul Biya, 85 years old, who has been in power for 35 years.

Secretary General of the Presidency since 2011, Mr. Ngoh Ngoh is a diplomat by training, having worked at the United Nations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
