    Cameroon unveil Seedorf & Kluivert

Newly appointed Indomitable Lions coach Clarence Seedorf and his assistant Patrick Kluivert were officially unveiled in Yaounde in the late hours of Thursday at conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education.

The pair who touched down in Cameroon on Thursday morning signed a four-year contract and have been tasked with winning the 2019 Afcon, qualify for the 2021 edition, as well as the 2022 World Cup.

“We want to start properly(with the team) and we are very happy to be part of (Cameroon’s) dream to work on football development and work on the team’s goals for the next tournament that we have next year,” Clarence Seedorf said after the unveiling”.

“I am very happy to be here … Cameroon are the defending champions of the Afcon and we want to win the trophy once again, we have a lot of potential and I think we can do it again. We know it will be very difficult but we hope to get to work very soon,” assistant coach Patrick Kluivert said.

The pair will make their bow in the Lion’s dugout in September when Cameroon face Comoros Island away in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Though Cameroon have already qualified for the Afcon as hosts, the qualifiers will serve as preparations for the lions ahead of the tournament billed for June next year.
