Marc Vivian Foé's son arrested for robbing a church and sequestering a priest!

Marc Vivian Foé's son; Marc Foé, 22 years old, appeared in the Assize Court of Lyon, France on Monday.

He is being charged with robbery with weapons and sequestration.

The son of a famous Cameroonian footballer who died in 2003, Marc Foé, went to a church in France, with a rifle in his hand, asking for them to show him where the safe was. He allegedly threatened, beat and handcuffed the priest who was in the church, while his accomplice snooped around looking for the church safe.

After two hours of searching, an alarm was triggered in the church that made them to runaway.

Marc Foe was arrested a few hours later as he retraced his steps to retrieve the forgotten weapon behind him.

According to some French media, the defense has argued for injuries suffered by Marc Foe after the death of his father, Marc Vivian Foé.

"His father lost his life in front of cameras around the world. He was eight years old. This event has upset his career,"- said his lawyer during the court session on Monday.

Marie-Louise Foé, the mother of the accused, for her part, testified to the harsh reality that has always been that of her son. She told the Court that Marc Foé spent his childhood from one school to another following his father's career.

And that a few years after the tragic events of June 23, 2003 (in 2001), Marc Foe was the victim of an assault that destroyed the bones on his forehead, so much so that a titanium prosthesis was installed on his forehead to replace the fractured bones.

"He is lost, he can not find his way," Marie-Louise Foe said.
