The World Military Cup is a football competition for national military teams. It is organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM). The tournament has been held since 1946.

The Cameroonian delegation for the Lionesses who qualified and were categorised in Group B has not obtained entry visas to the United States, where the competition for this year; 2018 is taking place.

Cameroon's women's football team was up against Bahrain last Friday as part of their first Military football World Cup group match in that category.

Unfortunately, she did not show up at the stadium. The delegation was still in Yaoundé to manage the visa-related administrative formalities for the United States, where the competition is taking place.

It was finally on Saturday that the news broke that Cameroon will not participate in the Military World Cup because visa was denied. The United States Embassy in Cameroon has not given any more information on the reasons why.

The Lionesses who were in training were asked to return home meanwhile they were prepared for better delivery than in the 2016 edition where they emerged in the fourth place at the end of the competition.

For inability to show up, Cameroon has been scratched off from the Group B where they belonged at the 2018 World Military Cup Competition.
