Due to the violent clashes between forces of law and order and the pro-secessionists, several thousands of civilians in the English speaking regions have fled from their homes to nearby bushes for safety.
Not to mention the thousands that have fled to nearby cities and the thousands living as refugees in Nigeria.
Mr Paul Tasong, a minister delegate at the Ministry of Economy and planning, when asked why some Anglophones in Lebialem; South West Region, are living in bushes, mentioned that it is because it is their culture to live in bushes and they are there by choice.
