Yesterday we reported that during the CRTV News broadcast on Monday April 2nd it was revealed that 12 hostages of Swiss and Italian origin were kidnapped in Kupe Manenguba by separatists as they were on their way to visit the Twin Lakes. Read all about it HERE
The Tour group released a statement contracting those claims. They mentioned they were not kidnapped. They said an armed group stopped them, checked their documents and their car, then allowed them to leave and continue their journey.
Just as the armed group asked them to leave, that's when the forces of law and order came around and had a brief exchange that they don't know details of,with the armed group.
They mentioned that none of the groups exercised any sought of violence.
