    12 hostages of Italian and Swiss Nationality who were allegedly kidnapped by separatists now released!

    On Monday, April 3, CRTV announced the release of about twenty hostages who had been kidnapped by a group claiming to be militants of the secessionist cause.

    They were presented the same day to the Minister of External Relations, in the presence of half a dozen members of the government and ambassadors of Italy and Switzerland.

    The twenty or so hostages thus liberated were composed of five Italians: Manfredini Enrico, Calderato Andrea, Miliardi Andrea Gi Carlo, Pontremoli Claudio Diego, Brini Gianfranco; and seven Swiss: Ruotolo Tiziana, Gereghetti Soldini Katia Emilia, Silvana Carla Quattrini, Soldini Fulvio, Rondelli Numa Carlo, Alfred Eggeman, Ghiringhelli-Vandone Athos.

    They are tourists belonging to the "African Adventure" group, who were held hostage for a few hours by a gang of armed terrorists in the locality of Moungo-Ndor, Nguti district, Kupe Muanenguba department (South West region).

    They went to Mount Manengouba to visit the "male and female" lakes, also called "Twin Lakes".
