President Paul Biya left Cameroon on March 18, 2018.
In a communique issued the same day, the civil cabinet of the President of the Republic informed the public that the Head of State flew to Beijing, for a State visit to the People's Republic of China.
A few weeks ago, Chinese ambassador to Cameroon; Wei Wenhua, conveyed the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping to his Cameroonian counterpart. This happened during a meeting held on March 13 at the Yaoundé Unity Palace.
The Head of State is accompanied in this official visit by his wife, and an official entourage composed of the Minister of External Relations, the Director of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister of Public Works, the Minister in Charge of Mission to the Presidency of the Republic, the Minister of Economy, Planning and Spatial Planning, the Minister of Water and Energy, the Secretary of State to the Minister of Public Health , in charge of the fight against epidemics and pandemics.
There is also Luc Sindjoun , Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic; Rear Admiral Joseph Fouda, Special Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic; Martin Mpana , Ambassador of Cameroon to the People's Republic of China; Simon Pierre Bikele , Head of State Protocol; Christophe Eken , President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts and Célestin Tawamba , President of the Ter Patronal Group of Cameroon.
The visit is scheduled to last from March 22 to 24, 2018.
