Elections Cameroon(ELECAM), has published the lists of candidates selected for the senatorial elections scheduled for March 25.
Of the 42 lists received by the body, five were rejected and one withdrawn. This was disclosed during a press briefing chaired by the head of the Elecam, Enow Abrahams Egbe.
According to the Elecam official, the SDF withdrew from running in the Centre Region while other lists were rejected for incomplete nomination papers for some candidates and absence of payment deposit.
It was revealed that the rejected lists in the following regions are:
Adamawa – UPC
East – SDF
Far North – SDF
North – UPC
South West – UPC
