"Dynastie Le Tigre insulted me in a way that nobody has ever insulted me before"- Mel B Akwen

Camer Urban act; Mel B Akwen, was invited to the TIA Radio Show hosted by Nabil Fongod which goes live every Friday from 9-11pm on Sweet FM, and she made a shocking revelation about her encounter with fellow colleague; Dynastie Le Tigre.

She said in 2016, when she wanted to release her single "Blessings" she wanted to collaborate with another Cameroonian artiste on the song.

She said during that period, she was a very huge fan of Dynastie Le Tigre and her greatest wish was to have him featured on the song. So she reached out to him on the phone and told him she wanted to collaborate. He accepted.

Weeks after that he was chanced to go to Buea; where Mel B resides, so he called her at about 11pm and told her he was in Buea and he wanted them to meet and talk about their collaboration that night because he was leaving at 5am the next day.

Akwen says she gently declined the request to see him because it was late, she said she didn't mind going to Yaoundé to see him.

Apparently Dynastie didn't leave at 5am as he had claimed earlier because he called her at around 11am that he was still around and had about 1hour left before going back. Akwen humbly went over to where he was, met him and they talked briefly about the collaboration and the kind of instrumental that would be appropriate, then he left.

Several days after, when she had the beat ready, she sent it to him on WhatsApp, and to her greatest surprise, what she got back from him were insults.

He responded telling her that she couldn't even greet him before sending the instrumental, that does she know how he slept, that she is a very small unknown artiste, nobody knows her and he will destroy her career.

Mel B Akwen says at that point she was devastated and broken, to see that somebody like Dynastie, who always sings about women, who claims to love and respect women, will talk to her like that, she said she was so broken after that encounter.

She ended up doing the collaboration with Longue Longue, and she narrated how it happened.

She said she was on Tchop Tchop's Jambo on Canal 2 as a guest and when asked who she would love to collaborate with, instead of her usual answer 'Dynastie' she said Longue Longue.

Somebody who was watching the show called Longue Longue and told him there is a young artiste saying nice things about him on TV.

That's how Longue Longue switched his TV to Canal 2, watched the rest of her interview, took her number from the screen and called her.

They met immediately after the show ended, talked about the collaboration, recorded the song, they scheduled a day, he came to Buea and they shot the video.
