Cameroonian journalist; Elie Smith, who resigned from Canal 2 because he was asked to sugarcoat his utterances on the Anglophone problem, reveals that a source in Nigeria told him:
"Our contact man in DSS has seen them. They are doing fine. No outsider besides DSS agents are allowed to see or talk to them because of the interrogations and investigations. They were not abducted, they were instead arrested by agents of an official govt security org. Saying they were abducted by Nigerian security agents is legally incorrect. Their detention for many days without going to court may be illegal, but not their arrest. Barr. Falana[one of those arrested alongside the Ambazonian president] knows it's common in Nigeria. Nigerians have been detained by EFCC, DSS etc for weeks without any court"
