    Trial of Mancho Bibixy reopens today

    Radio broadcaster Mancho Bibixy and other youths incarcerated in the nation’s capital for over 8 months, will appear before the Yaounde Military Tribunal today Thursday 28 September 2017.

    Bibixy is facing charges of terrorism, rebellion against the state, inciting civil unrest and breach of the constitution. 

    He remains one of the most prominent Anglophone activist still in detention after a presidential degree dating August 30 2017, and signed by the Secretary General at the Presidency of the republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, ordered an end to all judicial proceedings against barrister Felix Agbor Kongho, Dr Fontem  Agborteka Neba, retired justice Ayah Paul Abine, and over 50 other detainees arrested in relation to the on-going crisis in the North West and South West regions.

    The fate of Mancho Bibixy and others still in detention will be known today after the end of proceedings at the Yaounde Military Tribunal.
