Nigerian businessman Tony Elumelu has called on nations and individuals to show more support for Sierra Leone, a nation that is still battling to recover from the devastating effects of an unexpected mudslide disaster in which nearly 500 people died and more than 600 people are still missing.
Elumelu, one of Africa’s richest businessman, made the call for more financial help for Sierra Leone during his visit to the nation, where he donated $500,000 .

The 54 years old is one of Africa’s most prominent business leaders and philanthropists.
Three years ago, Elumelu donated about $300,000 towards Ebola containment and relief across Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
His Tony Elumelu Foundation is an African-based and African-funded philanthropic organization that supports entrepreneurship in Africa by enhancing the competitiveness of the African private sector.
