    UN Secretary General on mission to Cameroon because of The Anglophone problem, urges government to release detained and restore internet!


    A representative of the United Nations and African Union is on a mission in Cameroon from April 9th-13th because of the political strife opposing the smooth running of activities in the North West and South West. He met with the president of the consortium; Agbor Balla, and other detained anglophone leaders, and some of the defense lawyers, in Kondengui. He also met with several ministers and ambassadors.

    In a Press Conference that was held in Yaounde on Wednesday April 12th, the United Nations representative in Cameroon appreciated moves made by the Government so far and encouraged them to execute them effectively and with urgency. He also urged the Government to release all the anglophones arrested due to the Anglophone problem, and to re-install internet in the South West and North West regions.
