Earlier this year after the consortium was banned by the government; the detained consortium president; Agbor Balla, made Mark Bareta and Tapang Ivo, interim leaders of the consortium, since they are in foreign countries and have been actively involved in the struggle via social media..
But some hours ago; the programs co-coordinator of the consortium, Tassang Wilfred, who is seeking refuge in a foreign embassy in Yaounde, made a video stating that the president of the consortium; Barrister Agbor Balla, and other executive members of the consortium have concerted and decided to take over leadership of the consortium, removing all rights and power from the interim consortium leaders; Mark Bareta and Tapang Ivo

He said the decision was based on principles for democracy.
Mr. Tassang Wilfred and Barrister Eyambe Elias Ebai(deputy secretary general of the Consortium) will henceforth be the new leaders of the consortium until Dr. Fontem Neba and Barrister Nkongho Felix Agbor-Balla are released.
