Monopoly is a board game that originated in the United States. Monopoly is one of the most popular board games in the world and has been played by over 500 million people. The game is licensed in 111 countries and printed in 43 different languages, and South Africa is one of those countries. There is a national South African variant and a Cape Town variant.

Now Monopoly is going to introduce a Durban version. The residents of Durban are encouraged to vote on which locations they would like to be included on the Monopoly Durban variant. Members of the public can vote for their favourite locations on the Monopoly Facebook Page.
